After the launch of the new Gold line and special edition Rocket 3 models, Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the new street Twin EC1 in India. The motorcycle pays tribute to the custom motorcycle culture of the London streets. While the EC1 badge on the vehicle’s tank is a reference to the postal code of East London.
The Triumph Street Twin EC1 features a Matt Aluminium silver and Matt silver Ice dual-tone colour scheme along with a silver coach lining, new EC1 graphics, and the triumph badge. Moreover, the side panels have been given a matte silver finish whereas the mudguards have been coloured with matte aluminium silver. The silver line contrasts with the black engine, wheels, mirrors and headlight cowl. A matte silver Ice fly screen adds more attention to the cart. It offers two riding modes; Rain and Road
Under the hood, the Triumph Street Twin EC1 is powered by a 900cc, twin-cylinder engine that can produce a maximum output of 64.1 bhp at 7,500rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 3,800rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
As far as safety is concerned, Triumph Street Twin EC1 is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, ABS, traction control. Suspension duties are carried out by 41mm cartridge forks on the front and dual shockers with preload adjustment on the read end.
In terms of price and availability, the Triumph Street Twin EC1 costs Rs.8.85 lakh and it will be available for only one year.
