Tata Motors has officially launched XTA+ variants of its flagship SUVs Harrier and Safari. As per the sources, Harrier and Safari are collectively leading the high-end SUV segment with a 41.2 percent market share as of Q1 of the current FY22. The automobile brand hopes that the XTA+ variants will gain more market share in the high-end SUV segment.
The XTA+ variants of Harrier and Safari are powered by the FCA-sourced 2.0 diesel engine that can produce a maximum output of 170hp and 350Nm of torque. The diesel motor is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. There is no further mechanical change in the new variants compared to the other automatic Harrier and Safari models.
The XTA+ variants of both Harrier and Safari offer several features including a 7.0-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, iRA connectivity, 8-speaker Harman sound system, top-mounted dual function LED DRLs, headlights, push-button start, auto wipers, mood lighting, and more. The new XTA+ variant comes up with panoramic sunroofs and 17-inch alloy wheels.
As far as safety is concerned, both vehicles are equipped with dual airbags, ESP, traction control, hill hold control, cruise controls, and automatic climate control, and reverse parking camera, etc.
In terms of price and availability, the Harrier will be available for Rs.19.14 lakh and Harrier XTA+ Dark is available for 19.34 lakh. The Safari XTA+ will be available for Rs.20.08 lakh.
