The German Automaker, Mercedes Benz has revealed the 2022 EQE at the 2021 IAA mobility conference. It is the second model of the brand to be introduced in the EVA2 platform after the launch of EQS in April 2021. The electric vehicle was revealed along with AMG performance, EQB, and EQG
The features embodied by the 2022 Mercedes EQE are a unique grille with tri-star accents, sloping roofline, curvy doors, 56.0-inch Hyper screen with three displays running with MBUX software, cabin with HEPA (High-efficiency particulate air )filter, leather upholstery, fingerprint reader, and LED headlights. Although the styling of the EQE is similar to that of EQS, the dimensions of EQE vary from the other. The EQE is 4,934 mm long and has a wheelbase of 3,120 mm which is 90 mm smaller than the EQS. The electric sedan has a boot capacity of 430 liters.
The Mercedes 2022 EQE has two electric motors which produce a maximum output of 288bhp and 530Nm of peak torque. The electric motor is mated to a single-speed gearbox. The entrant packs a 90 kWh battery and will get a range of 660 km on a full charge.
As far as safety is concerned, the 2022 EQE is equipped with multiple airbags, automatic emergency braking, pre-safe collision awareness, active lane keep assist, and more.
In terms of price and availability, the electric sedan might be priced less than that of the flagship EQS. Pricing details are not disclosed yet. The Mercedes 2022 EQE will globally launch in the middle of 2022.
