Kia Seltos X-Line Unveiled Ahead of the Launch in September
Kia India has unveiled a new variant of its popular Seltos compact SUV in the market named Seltos X- Line. The new Kia Seltos X- Line was first showcased as a pre-production concept at the 2020 Auto Expo. The automobile is essentially a cosmetic update over the regular Seltos model.
Specifications of Kia Seltos X-Line
The Kia Seltos X-Line gets a new matte graphite colour scheme complemented by gloss black and orange accents all around the body. The New piano black colour scheme can be seen around LED fog lamps. Moreover, the silver skid plate on the bumper has also been replaced with a piano black trim with orange accents. The cabin gets a dark theme and a new Indigo Pera Leatherette seat upholstery. Altos badging is seen on the bonnet and tailgate along with the X-Line moniker on the front grille, doors, and boot lid. The vehicle sports 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels as compared to the 17-inch alloy wheels of the Seltos GTX+.
The Kia Seltos X-Line has several features identical to the regular model such as a 10.25-inch touch screen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bose 8 speaker sound system, remote engine start, automatic climate control system, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, air purification system, wireless charging and more
Kia Seltos X- Line comes with a 1.4- litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. The 1.4-liter turbo engine can produce a maximum output of 138 bhp and 242 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine, on the other hand, can produce an output of 113 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine is mated to a 7- speed DCT automatic unit whereas the diesel engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic torque converter unit.
As far as safety is concerned, Kia Seltos X-Line is equipped with six airbags, ABS and EBD, rear parking sensors, etc.
Price and Availability
The Kia Seltos X- Line is expected to go on sale in the first week of September 2021. It is expected to demand a premium of around 50,000 more than the regular Seltos model. The Seltos GTX+ is priced between Rs.15 .53 lakh to RS. 17.65 lakh (ex-showroom).we need to wait patiently for further details regarding price till the official launch in September 2021.
