Japanese automaker Kawasaki has launched its 2022 KLX450R bike in India. The New off-road motorcycle KLX450R arrives in India as a Completely Built Unit as its predecessor. The brand claims that the new purpose-built off-road race bike offers enhanced handling and performance in off-road racing conditions and tackles rough terrain.

The 2022 Kawasaki KLX450R comes draped in a new lime green colour option along with a new set of decals. The new entrant is mounted on an aluminium perimeter frame supported by a single downpipe dual cradle arrangement. Moreover, Kawasaki has tweaked the engine for better low-end torque to overcome tricky situations.

It incorporates features like an all-digital instrument cluster, triangular headlight, LED rear light, electric and kick starter and more. The ground clearance of the vehicle is 315mm and has a fuel tank capacity of 8 litres. It weighs only 126 kg.

The 2022 Kawasaki KLX450R is powered by a 449cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The brand hasn’t revealed the power figures of the motorcycle.

As far as safety is concerned, the 2022 Kawasaki KLX450R is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. Suspension duties are carried out by a 48mm inverted telescopic front on the front side and a mono-shock unit on the rear side.

Price and Availability

In terms of price and availability, the new entrant costs Rs. 8.99 lakh. Thus the dirt bike has become Rs 50,000 more expensive than the previous model. It will start delivery from January 2022.
