Honda City e:HEV Hybrid Sedan Launched In India

The Japanese automobile giant Honda has launched the hybrid model of very popular Honda City and the new car is called the Honda City e:HEV sedan. The latest Honda City e:HEV sedan is the first car of the company to feature Honda Sensing technology or ADAS features in the country and the same will be manufactured Tapukara facility in the country, so without making any further delay let’s get into the article to check out the complete details of the vehicle.

The latest Honda City e:HEV hybrid is powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder along with Atkinson Cycle petrol engine and the same features two electric motors. It can able to provide 124 bhp and 253 Nm of peak torque. The company is also claimed that the newly introduced car can able to offer 40 per cent more fuel-efficient than its petrol variant. It is also coming with updated disc brakes at all corners along with an electronic parking brake.

The Honda City e:HEV hybrid sedan is featuring three drive modes namely EV, hybrid, and petrol, and the same can able to run on electric power in the EV mode. Talking about the look of the vehicle, it is not changed much from the standard version but the cabin is now updated with new upholstery along with a hybrid-specific instrument cluster.

The latest Honda City e:HEV hybrid features ADAS functions via Honda Sensing such as Lane Change Assist, Pedestrian Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control. It is also offering Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), and Auto High Beam. Speaking about the safety features, it is featuring six airbags, Honda Lane-Watch, a 360-degree view camera, and tyre pressure monitoring.

Regarding the pricing, it is coming with a price tag of ₹19.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
