Toyota Innova Hycross Goes Official In India With 21.1 Kmpl

Toyota has introduced its new 7 seater vehicle in the market of India dubbed Toyota Innova Hycross and the same becomes the most affordable strong hybrid 7-seater in the country as well. The company has introduced the vehicle with Toyota’s Safety Sense ADAS suite and the latest Toyota Innova Hycross also features a lot of firsts in its brand history that includes a front-wheel drive setup, monocoque construction, and a panoramic sunroof. It is worth mentioning that the vehicle was showcased in Indonesia recently. The newly launched Toyota Innova Hycross features Toyota’s fifth generation strong hybrid (M20A-FXS) technology and the same consists of a 2.0l petrol engine and an electric motor that can generate 152hp of max power and 187Nm of max torque. It can offer a combine power output of 186bhp strong and the strong hybrid version of the Toyota Innova Hycross is claimed to offer 21.1kmpl. It is worth mentioning that the vehicle can able to offer 0 to 100kmph in under 9.5 seconds. It is available in four variants including ZX, ZX (O), VX 8 seater, and VX 7 seater.

The latest Toyota Innova Hycross is also coming with a simple petrol ICE in the form of a 1,987cc engine and the same can offer 174hp of peak power and 197Nm of peak torque. This powertrain will be available in GX 8 seater, GX 7 seater, G 8 seater, and G 7 seater variants. The petrol-powered models of the vehicle is paired with a CVT automatic transmission.

Speaking about the look, the latest Toyota Innova Hycross is featuring a more substantial and rugged SUV look and the same offers a higher bonnet line, sharper creases, a stronger shoulder line, high ground clearance, and beefed-up wheel arches with cladding. It is sporting a larger set of 10-spoke alloys with a special chrome finish and thicker rubber.

Coming to the interior, it is featuring a new floating 10.1-inch central infotainment system along with semi-digital instrumentation with a 4.2-inch coloured MID. You will also get a dash-mounted gear lever, electronic parking brake, ventilated front seats, Chestnut Brown leatherette upholstery, and soft-touch materials on the dashboard. It is also coming with door cards, ambient lighting, power 2nd-row seats with ottoman mode, dual-zone AC, among others.

Toyota is also offering a powered tailgate along with auto LED headlamps with auto high beam control, LED taillamps, and more. It is also featuring a full panoramic sunroof and the same comes for the first time.

The Toyota Innova Hycross also features the in-house ADAS suite called the Toyota Safety Sense technology and the same includes a lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitor, lane departure warning, auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and more.

You will get some additional safety features such as 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Traction Control, and ESP. It is worth mentioning that the company is also offering three point seatbelts for all of the 8 passengers.
