Skoda Octavia RS Announced With A Plug-In Hybrid Variant

Skoda the popular automobile maker has unveiled its new vehicle and the same is dubbed as Skoda Octavia RS, the company has launched the performance oriented vehicle with Sedan as well as the estate body style options. The company has also launched the car with the plug-in hybrid variant as well. The newly unveiled Skoda Octavia RS comes with sporty styling elements along with the signature butterfly grille and that is finished in the black colour which is flanked by a pair of LED headlamps and that is looking pretty awesome. The car is also coming with the sportier bumper with large intake along with the LED fog lamps. The company has used the black theme on the roof, along with black inserts on the side skirts, black ORVMs, trunk spoiler, and rear bumper.

It also features a set of black 18-inch alloy wheels as standard, along with optional 19-inch alloys, and the same arrives in red brake calipers. Speaking about the rear, the vehicle comes with smoked LED taillamps a sculpted boot-lid with the Skoda lettering at the centre.

Under the hood, the latest Skoda Octavia RS unveiled in three options and that includes a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine, a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine, and the plug-in hybrid version which is powered by a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine paired with a 180 kW electric motor. The turbocharged 2.0-litre TSI engine and the same is tuned to make 241 bhp and 370 Nm, while paired with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.

The diesel option is coming with 197 bhp and 400 Nm and only gets the 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, with all-wheel drive is an optional extra. Regarding the plug-in hybrid variant, its coming with the 1.4 TSI motor makes a decent 114 bhp and 330 Nm torque, but the electric motor will offer 241 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque.

Moving to the inside of the Skoda Octavia RS, it sports an all-black cabin with Alcantara leather as well as red accents, it is coming with the front sport seats in black fabric upholstery and RS logo, flat-bottom steering wheel, and more.

The car also features the Virtual Cockpit instrument panel as standard, and the same offers an additional Sport layout, with Driving Mode Select as standard, which will offer a new RS mode.
