According to a media report, Harley-Davidson is planning to leave the market of India and the reason behind that is poor sales as well as the weak future demand. The report also says that Harley-Davidson is talking with other brands through consultants for a possible outsourcing arrangement using its leased assembly facility and the same is located at Bawal in Haryana.

Its worth to mention that the company started to lose its grip after being the leading premium motorcycle brand in the country for several years and the company sold less than 2600 units of its popular bikes in last financial year. Harley-Davidson has also offered heavy discounts for the best selling models Street 750 and Street Rod and the same showcased worst performing international markets.
