BMW Unveils CE 02 Electric Mini- Bike Concept

German luxury carmakers, BMW has unveiled its CE 02 electric mini-bike concept at IAA Mobility Conference in Germany. The BMW CE 02 is a two-wheeler that resembles the CE 04 which has been already announced by the company. The new entrant is targeted more on urban youngsters

Specifications of BMW CE 02 Electric Mini-Bike

BMW CE 02 concept arrives in black or silver colour schemes. The vehicle comes with a futuristic design, square black LED headlight, and an LED instrument console. . BMW says that its design could be likened to a skateboard on two wheels. The simple digital display will provide necessary information like speed and battery status. It is placed between the handlebars and is need not be connected to a smartphone or any other applications. The whole vehicle weighs only 120 kg and the wheelbase of the vehicle is 15 inches.

The CE 02 has an 11 kW belt drive motor which helps the bike to reach a top speed of around 90 Kmph. (approximately 55 miles per hour). Although the company has not revealed the battery capacity of the new entrant, they claim that a fully charged battery in CE 02 can provide a range of 90 kilometers.

As far as safety is concerned, BMW CE 02 is equipped with disc brakes on both front and rear wheels. Suspension duties are carried out by inverted forks on the front side and a single-sided swingarm on the rear end

BMW CE 02 is an electric mini-bike concept and it is uncertain whether it will lead to production. If that ever happens, there will be changes to the design as the company needs to add license plates, turn signals, reflectors, fenders, and more.
